Case group work program of the day:
1. Discussion about basic definitions and how to use the background material
2. General discussion of the framework and the agenda for the group
3. Personal presentations to framing the actions
4. Demonstration of the survey and SOM-maps done on the background material concerning innovation concept challenges
5. Framing the challenges of the case
Discussion about basic definitions and how to use the background material:
• The group members will take a look the background documents (on the stick) that has been provided before the camp, attention to critical factors / important issues also from own perspective
• Additional material related to the case can be put on the net (send to Mika Pirttivaara)
Notes of group discussion:
• Discussion about the frame: Finnish Society, EU, global?
• We begin with the case owner’s case, but results will also benefit other: the outcomes can be modified to other countries / the rest of the world as well
• For example, in the Five Steps for Finland report lifelong learning came up, this is common for all societies
Selected highlights and lessons learned during the working session:
• The definitions are important. They should be discussed to get a shared view on the key definitions in this case.

Personal presentations for framing the actions
All group members presented themselves and told what issues they are especially interested in. The areas of interests as well as areas of knowledge were documented on big sheets by Markku Markkula, who acted as facilitator at this stage. The sheets were completed during the rest of the session. The results of this procedure are shown here. This list includes not Klus, Markkula and Miikki, who have specified roles in the ACSI “organization”.
