Suurpelto project: One million floor square meters will be built in Suurpelto within an area of 325 hectares, of which 89 hectares will be dedicated to parks where the residents.
The development of Suurpelto concept has included in-depth cooperation: the City of Espoo, land owners, business developers, several architectural and construction companies, other urban planning and service provider companies, several universities, etc.
The main objective of the ACSI case is to develop an international concept and a plan of Suurpelto being a continuous research, education and innovation (i.e. knowledge triangle) real life case area fully integrated to the interests of Aalto and other universities.
The ACSI case will analyze the work already done and the future plans from an international innovation perspective to fit to the needs of international regional and urban planning benchmarking collaboration, as well as the funding requirements of EU level development programs.
