The complex of a bookstore and coffee shop
The idea is to form a complex of a bookstore and coffee shop. The Helsinki-located company offers an cosy alternative to big and dominant malls and chains of stores. The developers of this business plan are Sanna Heinonen, Blerina Gashi and Elisa Elg.
The bookstore offers a variety of literature and limited amount of non-fiction. In the request of customers, it's possible to order books outside our own collections, too. Our store offers books also from starting writers. There is also a possibility to recycle books. Besides the bookstore, there’s also a small coffee house which offers a cosy and calm environment to for example read books or meet friends.
Non-stop growing amount of people are seeking for a place in which to relax in the middle of a rush. The company pursues to rise to this challenge by creating a warm and home-like environment. The coffee shop aims to be an environmentally friendly alternative: the products sold are home-made and the ingredients used are bought from manufacturers nearby. There’s also a possibility to buy for example organic coffee and tea to bring home. The sustainable development can also be seen in the recycled furnishing.
There are three founder members working in the company. The daily tasks in the shop includes selling and taking care of the presentation of the books. In the coffee shop the work includes making and selling the goods. The location has a big effect on the success of the company. As a location, Helsinki is a favourable choise to provide the biggest group of customers possible. The complex of a bookstore and coffee shop would locate within a reasonable walking distance from the main center of Helsinki.
Planning the idea takes approximately a few months but it's possible to evolve the final idea as much as we want.
